THE RESURRECTION OF LAZAR
The Resurrection of Lazar, also known as Lazar Saturday or Vrbica, is celebrated as one of the greatest miracles of Jesus Christ. According to Christian belief, Jesus resurrected Lazarus of Bethany, his friend, four days after his death, demonstrating his divine power over life and death. This event is considered a forerunner of Christ's own resurrection.
Vrbica is celebrated on Saturday, a week before Easter, and is a joyful holiday, especially for children, who then carry willow twigs in memory of Christ's entry into Jerusalem.
