Saint Tryphon is one of Christ's great martyrs who suffered for the Christian faith. The Serbian Orthodox Church of St. Trifun celebrates February 14 according to the new calendar, or February 1 according to the old calendar. It is celebrated as the "Day of Love and Wine".

He was born in a very poor family, but very pious from an early age. The holy martyr Tryphon was the child of pious parents. As a child, he spent his time herding geese.
