Handmade triptych Saint Spiridon. The metal parts are ennobled with 24-carat gilding (the finest and highest-quality gilding on the market), as well as 925 fine silver plating. The icon is additionally decorated with zircons, in order to draw even more attention to all the smallest details that were taken care of during production.

 

The back of the triptych also has a handle/stand so you can easily position it anytime, anywhere. There are two angels in the left and right wings of the triptych.

 

The icon was modeled after the medieval icons, which were made to the smallest detail and everything except the face was forged. It was made using the technique of engraving, and then pouring metal into molds.

SAINT SPIRIDON

  • Saint Spyridon of Trimifunt is a Christian saint.
  • He was born in Cyprus in the year 270 in the village of Askia and is considered the patron saint of that island.
  • Saint Spyridon of Trimifunt, the patron saint of Cyprus and many artisans, is celebrated among the people with numerous stories about his miracles and gentleness.
  • According to popular belief, he was the first to make an earthen pot, a sack and a shirt, so he is celebrated by potters, weavers and blacksmiths. He is also the patron saint of shoemakers and tanners.
  • There is a well-known story that he turned a snake into gold to help a poor man, as well as that he got a borrowed item from a girl's grave and returned it to its owner.
  • The saint is celebrated with a fast feast, and many believe that his gentleness helps mothers and children, while the sick seek healing on his day in monasteries. There is a church dedicated to him in Trieste.
  • The Orthodox Church celebrates it on December 12 according to the Julian (church) calendar, i.e. December 25 according to the Gregorian (civil) calendar.
