THE BOOK ABOUT MILUTIN, first published in the eighties, is the most widely circulated novel in post-war Serbian literature.

The book about Milutin tells about the confessions of the former warrior and now Milutin's host, which he tells to an imaginary listener (writer) in a prison cell in the period after the Second World War. He speaks in the history, experience and tragic fate of his own family, Šumadija and the Serbian state.
